March 27, 2010 – When New York Magazine/GrubStreet Chicago approached me with the opportunity to be a part of a feature highlighting 30 of Chicago’s best sandwiches, I couldn’t resist! It’s been a food-filled week, yet have been able to snag pics of 23 of the 30 sandwiches to be featured. Not only was it an excuse for me to visit some of Chicago’s most notorious sandwich joints, but allowed me shoot what I love most~ FOOD! As an added bonus, I got to taste most of my work as well! The spread was very diverse, ranging from falafel and gyros to a grouper cheek sandwich and a croque madame on steroids… I don’t want to spoil the surprise or steal the limelight from Michael Nagrant (the writer of the feature; follow him on Twitter) or from GrubStreet Chicago so I’m not going to reveal any of the spots, however I will share a handful of pics~ can you guess where I’ve been eating?
P.S. I’ll be sure to share the link to the feature once it’s online; until then, check out GrubStreet Chicago for all your foodie needs!
P.P.S. Don’t ask me which ones were my favorite; they were all great for different reasons!
