June 18, 2010 – Better late than never I suppose… I’ve been MIA for the past two months traveling for work and haven’t had a chance to update this site properly… With that, I just wanted to let you know that The New Yorker/Grubstreet Chicago finally ran their Sandwich Register highlighting their 30 fav sammies in the city. March 27, 2010 – Two pieces of my portraiture work is ‘indirectly’ being featured on the NBC Chicago website. Truth be told, Kristin Gerhart, a model that I have worked with (notably on my first beach shoot in Chicago), is fighting for the title of PETA Sexiest Vegetarian Girl Next Door! My shots are actually in the photo album that’s embedded within the article.
Regardless, shameless self-promotion aside, please help Kristin out by voting for her here! Voting closes on March 31st, so act fast!
March 27, 2010 – When New York Magazine/GrubStreet Chicago approached me with the opportunity to be a part of a feature highlighting 30 of Chicago’s best sandwiches, I couldn’t resist! It’s been a food-filled week, yet have been able to snag pics of 23 of the 30 sandwiches to be featured. Not only was it an excuse for me to visit some of Chicago’s most notorious sandwich joints, but allowed me shoot what I love most~ FOOD! As an added bonus, I got to taste most of my work as well! The spread was very diverse, ranging from falafel and gyros to a grouper cheek sandwich and a croque madame on steroids… I don’t want to spoil the surprise or steal the limelight from Michael Nagrant (the writer of the feature; follow him on Twitter) or from GrubStreet Chicago so I’m not going to reveal any of the spots, however I will share a handful of pics~ can you guess where I’ve been eating?

February 6, 2010 – Truly eclectic (to say the least), working with Neil was quite the experience. It’s not often that I’m approached by a model with such a clear vision, a very interesting free posing technique and a McDonald’s-eating entourage (technical director/DJ and wardrobe fashionista, to be exact). I’ve posted some of the ‘textbook’ portraits that I snagged and will leave the eerie and strange for his portfolio. All in all a great shoot nonetheless!
