Japan in a Nutshell

April 8, 2010 – We have finally arrived in Osaka and have access to a more robust internet connection. I’ve managed to upload a truncated web gallery from our trip so far [click here]. To give you an idea of how much I’ve truncated things, the 106 pictures that I’ve posted represents less that 10% of what I’ve ‘flagged’ as being an editable image. On top of that, we are only halfway through our trip, so more shots are definitely on the way as well. In a nutshell, this trip is amazing! I obviously haven’t been keeping up with the whole photoblogging thing, however my wife (Rachel) has been blogging about our adventures here.

I hope you enjoy what I’ve posted so far; as a caveat, I’ve been spending more time enjoying the country rather than pediting images, so please excuse the rough post-processing technique. I’ll be spending more time on the ‘postcard-worthy’ shots upon my return home.

Please let me know what you think!!!

Tsukiji Market

April 3, 2010 – It’s been a whirlwind of a trip so far with a flight change resulting in a direct flight (rather than a missed connection in Seattle). As for jetlag, I can’t say that it’s affected me too much; if anything, it helped all of us wake up at 4:30am to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Tsukiji Market.

I’ll try my best to post a more extensive collection of pictures as the trip progresses, but it will depend on how much time I have to post-process the images… Alternatively, you can follow me on Twitter to get a more frequent updates!

Weekend in Montreal

February 27, 2010 – It’s always great traveling back to the homeland, but this past weekend was my chance to show two close friends (from Chicago) the city that I know best~ Montreal, Quebec, Canada. There was plenty of food and drink to be had, yet we made it back alive; here are a couple of pictures to prove it!

Featuring Photography by Yeti

February 18, 2010 – This evening, Yeti exhibited some of his work at a local art exposition. Congrats!

With my versatile Canon G11 in hand, I grabbed a great portrait (if I do say so myself) of him posing by some of his work!
